String Quartets and String Trios For Weddings in Scotland

Amici String Quartet - The Icing On The Cake

Amici String Quartet

Quite simply one the BEST professional String Quartets for weddings and functions in Scotland.

Amici (pronounced ameech-chee) are comprised of young, professional musicians who work regularly for BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Scottish Opera, and the Scottish National Orchestra. They are our most popular String Quartet and offer ensemble playing of the highest calibre at very reasonable prices.

When not working with National Orchestras, they specialise in providing background or ceremony music for Weddings or Corporate Events.

As you would expect from a proper ensemble, the Quartet comprises of two Violins, Viola, and Cello. They have a very extensive repertoire which includes classical, ceremonial , operatic, and jazzy. They are very flexible in their approach depending on the type of event and the atmosphere required.

They have worked through The Magic Agency for many years and we can tell you that these guys and girls are fun and absolutely first-class musicians.

For smaller functions, the group can also provide a Trio comprising of two Violins and Cello or a Duo made up of two cellos (or cello with flute, clarinet, or oboe).

Testimonials

"Helen and the string musicians created a perfect atmosphere in the chapel and played beautifully" Carol Boyd, Wedding in Glasgow, 2004.

"The Amici String Quartet combine total professionalism with a pleasant and friendly manner. Their repertoire is extensive and varied, including both classical and light, popular music.

In three hours of playing, no piece was repeated and they were very warmly received by a wide audience containing a spectrum of musical tastes. This was evident in the frequent, spontaneous applause they received and the bridegroom's comment that, for him, they were the icing on the cake"
Morag Law, Groom's Mother, Wedding in Glasgow, 2005

Silk String Quartet

Another young, enthusiastic Quartet who specialise in music for Weddings and Events. They are extremely talented, professional in their presentation, and will please your guests with their repertoire.

Again for smaller functions, the group can provide a Duo or Trio.

Help! How do I play these music files?

It's easy! Just double-click on the link and Windows Media Player (or whatever music player you have installed on your PC) should run and start playing the music file within a few seconds. Make sure you have your speakers plugged in and switched on.

If it doesn't start playing, then try pressing the "Start" button on your music player.

If you have a Broadband internet connection (which is very fast), then the music files should play very smoothly straight away.

However, if you have a standard "Dialup" connection (your modem dials up to allow you to make the connection to the internet) then you will find the music file stops and starts all the time. This is because your PC music player is trying to stream or play the music as it downloads to your hard drive but your internet connection isn't fast enough to play the music smoothly.

If that is what is happening to you, then all you have to do is let the music stagger through once (it is downloading as this is happening) and then it will play at full speed after that. You can then listen to the the music file as many times as you want.

Alternatively, you can save the MP3 to your Hard Drive and then play it from there. To save a MP3 to your Hard Drive, right-click on one of the MP3 links below and from the menu choose "Save Target As".

We hope that has helped you. If not, just give us a ring on 0141 577 6604 and we'll talk you through it.

We're here to help you in any way we can.
