Pipers, Pipe Majors, and Highland Dancers in Scotland

The Magic Agency can supply the most professional and experienced Pipers and Pipe Majors in Scotland for your wedding, St. Andrew's Night, Burns Supper or Event.

We can even provide a whole Pipe Band, if you want!

While there are lots of Pipers in Scotland, we only pick Pipers who have years of experience in performing at weddings and ceremonial events.

Many our Pipers are Pipe Majors who are directors of bagpipe music in a Pipe Band.

Apart from being an outstanding musician, a Pipe Major should by tradition be an educated person who is well-versed in the history of bagpipe music as well as the history of his or her clan, or regiment.

Pipers for Weddings

Being a Piper at a wedding not only requires a high degree of musical ability, but also excellent interpersonal skills.

After all, it is your special day - so don't spoil it by having some gruff, haughty, inflexible, prima donna on the Bagpipes.

All of our Pipers are professional in their attitude, well-spoken and well-mannered. They will also do their utmost to ensure that everything runs smoothly and you have a carefree, wonderful day.

They enjoy their music - and they want you and your guests to enjoy it to.

For Weddings our Pipers provide the following service as part of their normal package:

• Play as your guests arrive at the Church or venue
• Play when the Bride arrives
• Play the Bride down the aisle, if needed
• Play when the Bride and Groom leave the Church or venue
• Play when the guests are leaving the Church or venue
• Play background music when the photographs are being taken
• Provide a photo opportunity for guests
• Play in the top table or Bride and Groom at the meal
• Propose the toast to the Bride and Groom

However, our Pipers are very flexible and will adapt their programme to suit your individual needs. Please feel free to ask!

Their repertoire includes a wide selection of traditional Scottish Bagpiping tunes that include Marches of differing tempos, Strathspeys, Reels, Hornpipes, Jigs and Slow Airs.

Highland Dancers and Dancing Displays

The Magic Agency can also provide anywhere from 3 to 12 championship-level Highland Dancers, to work with Alan and put on a 20-30 minute high-quality, Cabaret show (including costume changes) of Highland and National dancing.

The dancers are accompanied by Alan, who is one of our most accomplished Pipers.

The show and number of dancers can be condensed or expanded, depending on space and budget.
