The Love Pirates Wedding Band in Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Scotland

The Love Pirates wedding band Scotland

The Love Pirates is one of Scotland's coolest bands for weddings and corporate entertainment. Young and energetic, their music ranges from rock to pop and funk to rhythm and blues music, all topped with great harmonies and twisted mash-ups. Their crafted repertoire ranges from the 50s right up to current chart hits and is the ideal mix of styles for your wedding, party, or corporate function.

Their usual four-piece lineup is classic drums/bass/guitar rhythm section, with the addition of saxophone and harmonica, topped off with luscious three-part vocal harmonies. However, they also can provide combinations of Sax/Guitar, Guitar/Vocals/Bass, Drums/Sax etc to ensure the client gets what they want.

The Love Pirates have state of the art lighting and sound equipment to ensure they not sound good - but look good anywhere.

Winners Of Wedding Band Prize Draw!

The winners of our prize draw are Rachel Black and Matthew Lee, who have booked Waterfront for their wedding on the 4th of May, 2012. The Magic Agency will pay £250 of their balance payable to the band.

Some Testimonials

"From the first time we heard The Love Pirates at a gig in Edinburgh we knew we had to book them to play at our wedding in Loch Lomond two years later! They played a mix of groovy funk, blues and jazz along with some exceptional melodies and covers which kept toddlers, grannies and friends on the dance floor all night. Some of our friends were relentless in their requests for covers and The Love Pirates delivered on every single one of them. The band members are extremely slick and professional and their energy is soooo infectious. Thanks so much guys, your talent is outstanding... we are treasuring the memories already."
Ramona Donald, 2010.

"What a blast at our wedding reception! Everyone thought the band was fantastic and the band obviously enjoyed it too. No-one will ever forget "Walk This Way!!" Great mix of music, filled the floor and we had lots of people asking where we got the band. Thanks for a great night."
Ali and Fiona, 2010.

"Awesome songs and rocking beats, kept the dancefloor pumping alll night!"
Andrew and Kelly, 2010.

"The Love Pirates were outstanding when they played at our summer ball. They were punctual and friendly, played exactly the right type of music for the event and made a real effort to interact with the crowd and keep the tempo of the evening up. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a professional and vibrant band to really put an edge on an event. Thanks guys!"
Adam Lee, Royal Marines, Condor, Arbroath, 2010.

"What a wedding, what a band! We chose The Love Pirates as our wedding band because we knew they had the tunes we loved, the look we wanted, and the energy to keep everybody dancing until the wee hours - we were far from disappointed.
In fact, the guys exceeded all of our expectations. They arrived ahead of time with all of their own equipment, set up, changed into their 'stage costumes' and kicked off the party. They had customised their set for us by getting to know the songs we loved and even learned a few for us too. They started with some great blues & swing tunes, then tucked into their own twisted (and superbly executed) covers of funk & rock.
The crowd interaction was a highlight; our guests were all on the floor by the end of the night, singing and dancing. We had a lot of compliments on our choice of band, and certainly nothing but praise for the guys themselves. I don't know what our wedding evening would have been like without them, but I dread to think!"
Mr and Mrs Carr, 2010.

"Having seen the Love Pirates twice at a birthday party and a friend's wedding we had absolutely no hesitation in booking them for our wedding in the highlands. I cannot think of a better band to get everyone dancing (including aunties and uncles!) and playing so many good tunes that have a really broad appeal. Thier covers are fantastic and the blues songs go down really well. Everything about the wedding was perfect and The Pirates were a big part of making the evening so successful. Everyone who came commented on how good the music was and it really did round off a brilliant day. They were also fantastic in terms of getting set up with no hassle, everything was seamless and the stage looked fantastic!"
Tom and Sara Pearson, 2010.

"The band were amazing, everyone raved afterwards about how fantastic they were. Colleagues from the office are booking them for weddings. Fantastic music, brilliant charm and huge amounts of fun, they got the party going and we didn’t want them to stop!"
Artemis Investment Management Ltd.

Help! How do I play these video or music files?

VIDEOS

If you cannot see the flash movie above, then you first need to establish whether you can see any Flash Movies on your computer. Go to the Photobucket page here and see if any of the Flash Movies will play. If they do not, then you either need to enable Javascript in your Internet Browser or/or update your version of Adobe Flash Player by clicking here. This will take you to the Adobe downloads page where you can download the update for your operating system. It's only a one minute download and will enhance your viewing pleasure while on the internet.

However, try enabling Javascript in your Internet Browser first. If you have a POP UP BLOCKER enabled, then disable it. If Javascript is disabled, the web page will you a message saying that you do not have Flash installed or you need upgrade your version of Flash, which may not be true.

If you have Internet Explorer 7 and can't get any Flash Movies to work, then download and try the much superior web browser called Firefox here.

MUSIC SAMPLES

It's easy! Just double-click on the link and Windows Media Player (or whatever music player you have installed on your PC) should run and start playing the music file within a few seconds. Make sure you have your speakers plugged in and switched on.

If you have a Broadband internet connection (which is very fast), then the music files should play very smoothly straight away.

However, if you have a standard "Dialup" connection (your modem dials up to allow you to make the connection to the internet) then you will find the music file stops and starts all the time. This is because your PC music player is trying to stream or play the music as it downloads to your hard drive but your internet connection isn't fast enough to play the music smoothly.

If that is what is happening to you, then all you have to do is let the music stagger through once (it is downloading as this is happening) and then it will play at full speed after that. You can then listen to the the music file as many times as you want.

Alternatively, you can download the mp3 first and play it from your Hard Drive. To do this, just right-click on the mp3 link and select "Save target as" from the drop-down menu.

You can then save the mp3 file to your Desktop or any other folder of your choice.

When the mp3 file is completely downloaded, double-click on it and it will play immediately on Windows Media player or whatever music player you have installed.

We hope that has helped you. If not, just give us a ring on 0141 577 6604 and we'll talk you through it.

We're here to help you in any way we can.
